Georgia AIM works to drive AI adoption to lead the next revolution in U.S. manufacturing across all sectors, geographies, and communities.
Our mission is to serve all Georgia residents, specifically those who are historically underrepresented or underserved in manufacturing.
Georgia AIM’s programs focus on four key areas:
The AI Workforce
Throughout Georgia AIM’s suite of programs, we provide opportunities for individuals to learn new skills or upskill their current experience. Georgia AIM supports programs in technical colleges and four-year universities, as well as programs for people without a college degree or who are looking for a new career path.
Examples of these programs include robotics training for veterans, new degree programs at technical colleges that align with local industry, internships and apprenticeships in tech fields, a cybersecurity training program, and collaborations with local workforce development programs to provide specific skills. Our goal is to create an AI workforce pipeline that encourages self-starters and provides high quality, secure career opportunities.
Education
Georgia AIM works closely with K-12 institutions, four-year and technical colleges, and local organizations to help individuals of all ages learn about AI. We partner with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG); higher education institutions such as Spelman College and Fort Valley State University; and K-12 schools across the state to launch AI education initiatives. Our initiatives include robotics programs, innovation and entrepreneurial training, and STEM-based curricula support.
Innovators
We foster AI innovation through manufacturing and entrepreneurial programs that reach communities across the state. In addition to providing support for manufacturers looking to adopt AI solutions, Georgia AIM supports start-ups working in the AI space. connecting them with commercialization opportunities and business plan development. We also provide introductions to innovative technologies through mobile studios and innovation labs at technical colleges.
Manufacturers
Georgia AIM’s initiatives allow manufacturers unique access to the AI manufacturing revolution. Programs offered through our partners offer guidance on technology selection and adoption, training and upskilling, and cybersecurity assessment. Manufacturers can access innovative apprenticeship and fellowships, see technology in action at Georgia Tech’s AI Manufacturing Pilot Facility, and benefit from a low-cost membership in the Georgia Tech Manufacturing 4.0 Consortium.
