Rural Supply Chain and Logistics

Supplying Ideas For the Next Generation

Georgia sits at a unique crossroads: Within three days, goods from Georgia can reach 70% of the country’s population. And with a growing port, robust rail network and the world’s busiest airport, the state is positioned to be an ideal testing ground for innovations in supply chain and distribution methods — especially when you incorporate AI. This is why Georgia Tech’s Supply Chain and Logistics Institute (SCL) partnered with Georgia AIM: It was an opportunity to educate companies on new technology in the field, while training the next generation of supply chain leaders. As a result, SCL faculty trained hundreds of supply chain managers in advanced AI tactics, conducted successful pilot projects in key industry sectors, and introduced dozens of high school students to AI-infused career pathways in supply chain and logistics.
