Researchers at Georgia Tech have developed PROPEL, a new AI tool that helps manufacturers dramatically cut the time and cost of supply chain planning. Early tests show PROPEL reduces planning time by 88% and improves accuracy by more than 60% compared to traditional methods.
The tool was created by the NSF AI Institute for Advances in Optimization(AI4OPT) under Tech AI, Georgia Tech’s AI hub, and is being validated with real-world data from industry partners.
This breakthrough aligns with the Rural Supply Chain Initiative, where Georgia AIM helps bring AI-powered tools to rural manufacturers and supply chain businesses.
